Hailo AI Chips

Hailo, the Tel Aviv-based AI chip manufacturer, has unveiled its latest range of processors: the Hailo-15H, M, and L SoCs, designed to specifically power intelligent cameras.

The Hailo-15 family’s processing speeds range from 7 to 20 Tera operations per second (TOPS). This makes it five times faster than other processors in the market, and the Hailo-15H runs an object detection model in real time.

These processors enable cameras to recognize objects in real-time using vision-based transformers, and video enhancement, such as HDR imaging, video stabilization, and improved video in low-light situations.

Hailo is leveraging its leadership in edge solutions, the maturity of its AI technology, and its comprehensive software suite, which are already deployed by hundreds of customers worldwide.

The pioneering architecture of its initial chips has allowed Hailo to map the physical resources according to the neural network and keep the chip’s processing, memory, and control units close to each other for optimal performance. It can also turn off the inactive components of the processor at any given time.

With this release, Hailo expands on its vision of bringing high-quality AI-based video analytics to the industry, ensuring privacy and safety while enabling businesses to operate more efficiently at a lower cost and complexity of network infrastructure.
